An ongoing series of watercolor paintings made up of the birds and headstones found in my favorite local cemetery. The birds in this series have all been personally observed and identified with the help of an important bird identifying app. on my phone. (I’m a huge bird nerd). The headstones are all actual headstones of the cemetery. Most have had identifying information removed, out of respect and privacy. Headstones with information in tact hold special significance to me in one way or another.
